Ann Marie Casey serves as the Executive Director of the North of Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau, located at the Maria Miles Visitor Center on I-95 in Salisbury, MA, which serves more than 400,000 travelers annually. The overall mission of the NBCVB is to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase the number of overnight visitors to Massachusetts both domestically and internationally. Targeted travel segments include leisure, group tour, meetings, and events. As of 2016, tourism in the 34 cities and towns of Essex County, which includes the communities of Salem, Gloucester, Newburyport and Haverhill, generates more than $1 billion annually.
Ann Marie is an accomplished economic development leader with extensive tourism industry experience statewide, regionally and locally. With a Bachelor of Arts from Emerson College and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Boston, she launched her career at the State House, serving as a Legislative Aide in the House and the Senate. Previous positions held include Executive Director at the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce and Beverly Main Streets. Ann Marie currently resides in Wilmington.
